Israelischer Minister Gantz droht mit Austritt aus dem IStGH
Der Internationale Strafgerichtshof (IStGH) hat Haftbefehle gegen den Hamas-Führer in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, beantragt.
Die Haftbefehle setzen Netanjahu auf internationaler Ebene in eine ähnliche Lage wie Russland. Der Chefankläger des IStGH, Karim Khan, erklärte, dass er Beweise dafür habe, dass Sinwar Kriegsverbrechen und Verbrechen gegen die Menschlichkeit begangen habe. Der IStGH wirft Sinwar vor, für den Tod von Zivilisten während des Konflikts zwischen Israel und Gaza im Jahr 2014 verantwortlich zu sein.
Netanjahu hat den IStGH wiederholt kritisiert und argumentiert, dass das Gericht voreingenommen sei und Israel unfair ins Visier nehme. Im Jahr 2018 verabschiedete Israel ein Gesetz, das es israelischen Staatsbürgern verbietet, mit dem IStGH zusammenzuarbeiten. Der IStGH hat jedoch erklärt, dass er seine Ermittlungen fortsetzen wird.
